Our July Vacation to Clearwater Beach

If you couldn't already tell we've been livin la vida loca by trying to NOT stay home this summer.  Poor Manda has traveled so much that she was begging for just one day to stay home and just "be still".  We had talked all year about going to Washington DC for our family vacation this year but when the time rolled around we just wanted to laze away the days on the beach... so that's what we did!

We stayed at this little place that was so close to every convenient store/restaurant/bar imaginable!  Woo Hoo!  We had pool and beach privileges at their sister hotel too!  Rockin!

Our view to the left

Mama needs some sun!

Randy could use some rays too!

Our view to the right

Yeah... we still have PDAs!!

The end of a great day

We took a day to venture to the Henry Plant Museum at the University of Tampa.  This was Manda's suggestion for our field trip day.  It was very interesting to see how Tampa grew out of a little hick town into a booming city back in the day.

Henry Plant Museum is now incorporated into the University of Tampa's campus.

What to wear...

V wanted to go upstairs so bad!

They had little snippets all around of how life was conducted back then.

This porch used to be packed with visitors staying at the famed "Tampa Hotel"

Our ladies

A total mish mash of architecture

Can you believe we've been married 12 years?

There was a JFK memorial right outside the museum.  It had this marble statue and some of his great quotes.  We were told he gave a speech on the grounds not long before his fateful Dallas visit.

I think we've been to the beach (or tried to) every Sunday since our July vacation.  We are really getting the hang of applying our sunscreen!  Our burnt areas are getting smaller and smaller!  hahaha
